FHM model Reeva Steenkamp was shot dead on Valentine’s day by the hand of her boyfriend Paralympic runner Oscar Pistorious. But the question is Reeva’s family is the dame Why?? June Steenkamp Reeva’s mother asks why did he kill her little girl.
June Steenkamp married to Horse trainer Barry Steenkamp gave birth to her little princess Reeva, her husband already had a child Adam who June welcomed as her own. Reeva’s half brother Adam has been living in the United Kingdom since he was 13, she was delighted to have Reeva a successful 29-year-old model close to her in their natal South Africa, but on Valentine’s Day 2013 June Steenkamp’s life was shattered.
4 shouts ended the short life of June’s daughter Reeva, all indicated that the person responsible for this tragedy is her son in-law, the man Reeva had only been dating since last November, double amputee Oscar Pistorius, but why???
That is the question June Steenkamp continues to ask herself why did Oscar took her little girl from her, from the world, she was the nicest, most loving person in the whole world.
“She loved like no-one else could love. She had so much of herself to give and now all of it is gone. Just like that, she is gone. In the blink of an eye and a single breath, the most beautiful person who ever lived is no longer here.
“All we have is this horrendous death to deal with, to get to grips with. All we want are answers, answers as to why this had to happen, why our beautiful daughter had to die like this.”
“She loved this country and all its people. This was the only place she called home.”
June’s Stepson Adam and his wife Victoria flew to South Africa as soon as they heard about Reeva’s death, She will be buried on Tuesday near her home in Port Elizabeth after an intimate family gathering at the same time Oscar Pistorius will appeared before Pretoria Magistrates Court for his bail hearing
Her husband Barry spoke about not feeling any hate for Oscar.
“We ask the Lord every day to help us find a reason why this should happen to Reeva.
“There is no hatred in our hearts.”
36-year-old Adam a research support manager at Cambridge University has blessed his parents with two beautiful grandchildren, he and his family are in Port Elizabeth to help his father and June with Reeva’s crime investigation and funeral arrangements, he was very close to his little sister sadly he never got to see her one last time after all these years.
“I love my sister very much and am deeply upset. I didn’t know Oscar. I have never met him and I didn’t go to the Olympics. My sister has only been seeing him very recently. Everything was positive at the time and she sounded happy the last time we spoke.
“My family are devastated. It’s my little sister and it’s tragic. I haven’t seen my sister for roughly six years. I’m very close to my sister and we are always in contact even though we didn’t see each other.”
