Daughter of one of the greatest players in Kansas State History, linebacker legend Gary Spani; and married to this year’s runner up for the Heisman Trophy QB Collin Klein, Shalin Spani is without a doubt no stranger to the sports world!
Being an athlete of her own 24-year-old Shalin Bree Spani is a Basketball player at K-State, playing guard position, she was born July 20th 1988. Daugther of Gary and Stacy Spani she has four sisters: Taber, Tanis, Sajel and Taris. Sister Taber also plays basketball at Tennessee.
Shalin’s hometown is Lee’s Summit Mo in the the State of Missouri and she attended Metro Academy High School. Shalin led Metro Academy to the NCHBC National Championship her junior year, a three-time NCHBC All-American, she earned 2005 Street & Smith’s High School All-American honorable mention in 2006 also in 2006 McDonald’s High School All-American nominee. As we can easily tell she has some God given talents! And not stopping there she was bound to have, let’s say a not too shabby college career as well. Unfortunately she did not play during her senior year due to a torn ACL. Shalin majored in journalism and mass communication with a focus on public relations, she graduated last year.
So what else about this young 6 foot high basketball girl player? Oh yes! She is already married and not just to anybody…Does Collin Klein ring a bell?? I’m sure it does for you NFL lovers! So moving on, I know what you are thinking young couple right! Why don’t just live and go all “we are young so let’s have fun” kind of theme right? Not this two! Collin actually pledged at age 14 he would not kiss another woman until the altar! And that is exactly what they did…Maybe that’s why they couldn’t wait any longer and tied their lives on July 21 in Kansas City Mo. Collin graduated last December with two finance degrees. He’s currently working on a minor in leadership.
Well I guess not every love story has to be by the book for it to work right! In my opinion they might be just made for each other after I learned Shalin had also some kind of epiphany? Yeah I’ll go that word, when she heard an “inside” voice telling her she would marry Collin!
Well so far so good, I guess only time would tell although people say they both are some of the nicest, most humble people you’ll meet! That’s great huh! So we can’t do anything else but to wish the two of them good luck this coming December 8th, which will be announced who will be the choice to win the Heisman Trophy.
